Sponsorship Agreement Holders Alberta

Note: We do not accept walk-in appointments for refugee sponsorships. A Holder Sponsorship Agreement (SAH) is a registered organization that has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. The Sponsorship Agreement allows SAH to sponsor a number of refugees each year for resettlement to Canada through the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program. We understand that sponsorship is sometimes stressful. If you are looking for ways to better support the person or family you are sponsoring, or if you need a guide to establish a harmonious relationship between you and your sponsored refugees, contact us: If we receive more information about ECAE sponsorship under the SAH agreement, we will add this page. SAHs may cooperate with groups or individuals to sponsor refugees under their agreements. These groups are called constituent groups (CG); All people who work with SAHs are called co-sponsors. The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) is a program to support the Holders Sponsorship Agreement (SAHs), their constituent groups, groups of five and community sponsors. On the website you will find information on all areas of sponsorship in the form of prediction sheets, webinars and e-trainings.

As a church, we also help refugees already sponsored by the CAF when they arrive in Canada. There are so many ways to help, from official details and financial support to helping with English speaking, to establishing new friendships. Together, we can help make the refugees helped feel welcome and a little less overwhelmed. Contact us to ask how you can help welcome college-sponsored refugees to Calgary, or mark “refugee sponsorship” on your donation envelope to financially support a refugee family…
